• Opening of Libraries in Jails1

  Correspondence was initiated to open libraries in Central Jails with the Jail authorities of 7 states. we shall proceed further in the matter as we start receiving responses from the concerned authorities.
  As informed you earlier, this month we are going to release the Hindi English Verb Dictionary prepared by the HPS. The function to release this dictionary is going to be held on 19th August 2017 at the IMC Hall Churchgate at 6pm. You must have received the invitation for the same. This function is the most important event to mark our Platinum Jubilee year but that is not all we have planned various other small and big events for this year. HPS has also recently declared All India Hindi Essay Competition for the students which has been named after late Perinben Captain to underline her invaluable contribution towards HPS.

• All India Hindi Essay Competition2

  HPS has recently declared All India Perinben Hindi Essay Competition for the students of colleges, universities, higher management and technical institutes . Last time such competition was held in 2015-16. As this is our Platinum Jubilee Year , this competition acquires more importance. The number of prizes has been increased to 25 which will make it more attractive and encouraging. The first prize is of Rs.50,000/- as earlier competitions.
  
  We are publicizing this competition through news on social media, print media, posters at colleges and direct mailers. We got a pleasant surprise when North Maharashtra University displayed the information of this competition on its Home page.

• Hindi – Urdu Classes3

  The Hindi - Urdu learning classes conducted by the HPS every year started from July 2017. Like every year good response is received from the students. With a view to make our syllabus more attractive and useful, we have included Creative Writing also as a subject in the present course. This is very much appreciated by the students.

• Visit to Goa by HPS Team4

  Mr. Feroze Patch , Trustee & Hon. Secretary along with Mr. Sanjiv Nigam and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Tripathi visited Goa on 6th July 2017 to meet Mr. S. Naik, ADG and IG Prisons, Goa . This visit was in connection with the proposal to open library in the Central Prison of Goa. The proposal of the HPS was welcomed whole heartedly by Mr.Naik. He even thanked the HPS for such a novel gesture.

• Visit to Thane and Taloja Central Jails5

  A team of HPS led by Mr. Feroze Patch , Trustee & Hon. Secretary visited Taloja and Thane Central Jails on respectively . The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the facilities and apprise the officials there before establishing the library. The visits were successful and the work to supply books there is going on.

• अतीत के गलियारे से : सभा के 75 वें वर्ष का आयोजन7

  सभा की स्थापना के 75 वें वर्ष को मनाने के लिए 6 मई 2017 को एक विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया जिसमें उन खास लोगों को आमंत्रित किया गया था जिनका सहयोग काफी लम्बे समय से सभा को मिलता रहा है। उन लोगों को अपने विचार रखने तथा सभा को आगे बढ़ाने के सुझाव देने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता श्री सतीश शाह, अध्यक्ष हिन्दुस्तानी प्रचार सभा ने की। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. उषाबेन ठक्कर, निदेशक, मणिभवन मुख्य अतिथि थी जोकि खुद भी सभा से लंबे समय से जुड़ी रही हैं। इस कार्यक्रम में कई विद्वान जैसे कि श्री नंदकिशोर नौटियाल, विश्वनाथ सचदेव, डॉ. सूर्यबाला आदि शामिल हुए। उन्होंने सभा की गतिविधियों की सराहना की, खासतौर से पिछले चार-पाँच सालों से चलने वाली गतिविधियों की।
  सभा के ट्रस्टी तथा मानद सचिव श्री फ़िरोज़ पैच ने मेहमानों का स्वागत किया तथा अपने अनुभवों को साझा किया। डॉ. सुशीला गुप्ता ने सभा के इतिहास का उल्लेख किया। कार्यक्रम की संकल्पना तथा संचालन संजीव निगम का था। इस कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में सभा के सभी सदस्यों विशेषकर संजय मांजरेकर, माहरुख चिनॉय, अपर्णा नवघणे, महादेव चालके, संतोष बाईंग, निरंजन तिरलोटकर, संदीप जाधव आदि ने बड़ा योगदान दिया।

• नई पत्रिका ‘हिन्दुस्तानी ज़बान युवा’ का विमोचन8

  6 मई 2017 को ही हमारी नई त्रैमासिक पत्रिका ‘युवा’ का विमोचन डॉ. उषाबेन ठक्कर के हाथों तथा श्री सतीश शाह और श्री फ़िरोज़ पैच की उपस्थिति में किया गया। यह पत्रिका विशेष रूप से कॉलेज, विश्वविद्यालयों, उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों में पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थियों तथा शोधार्थियों के लिए निकाली गई है। इसका उद्देश्य है छात्रों में हिन्दी में रचनात्मक लेखन की रुचि को बढ़ावा देना है। इसके पहले अंक में ही देश के कई भागों से विद्यार्थियों की रचनाएँ प्रकाशित हुई हैं। इसके संपादक श्री संजीव निगम हैं तथा उपसंपादक श्री राकेश कुमार त्रिपाठी हैं। अपनी श्रेणी में यह देश की एकमात्र पत्रिका है।

• उर्दू लेखक मण्टो की कहानियों का प्रस्तुतिकरण9

  उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध कहानीकार सआदत हसन मण्टो की 5 कहानियों का प्रस्तुतिकरण ‘कथाकथन’ समूह द्वारा 6 मई 2017 को हमारे सभागृह में किया गया। यह भी हमारे 75 वें वर्ष के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम था। यह एक प्रयोगात्मक प्रस्तुति थी। इस कार्यक्रम में हमारा सभागृह दर्शकों से खचाखच भरा था।

• एक मुट्ठी अमृता प्रीतम10

  सभा द्वारा राष्ट्रभाषा महासंघ के साथ मिलकर 20 मई 2017 को विख्यात लेखिका अमृता प्रीतम के व्यक्तित्व एवं कृतित्व की अभिनय, गीत व वाचन द्वारा प्रस्तुति का कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में दर्शकों के साथ-साथ कई गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी उपस्थित रहे। इस कार्यक्रम की प्रस्तुति पुणे के एक समूह द्वारा की गई।

• दीक्षान्त समारोह11

  25 मई 2017 को परीक्षा विभाग द्वारा उन स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों के लिए दीक्षान्त समारोह आयोजित किया गया जहाँ हमारे पाठ्यक्रम चल रहे हैं।

• औरंगाबाद केंद्रीय कारागार में पुस्तकालय का उद्घाटन12

  4 जून 2017 को औरंगाबाद केंद्रीय कारागार में सभा द्वारा स्थापित पुस्तकालय का उद्घाटन डॉ. भूषण कुमार उपाध्याय, एडीजी एवं महानिरीक्षक (कारागार) महाराष्ट्र की उपस्थिति में संपन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर सभा की ओर से संजीव निगम तथा उनके साथ राकेश कुमार त्रिपाठी मौजूद थे। इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए डॉ. उपाध्याय ने इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए सभा की बहुत प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने इसे एक सुधार आंदोलन बताया।
  इस अवसर पर वहाँ एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया था। जिसमें वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी तथा कैदी उपस्थित रहे थे। सभा के संजीव निगम ने इस अवसर पर सभा तथा इसकी गतिविधियों का संक्षिप्त परिचय दिया।

• येरवडा केंद्रीय कारागार का दौरा13

  श्री फ़िरोज़ पैच, ट्रस्टी व मानद सचिव ने संजीव निगम तथा राकेश कुमार त्रिपाठी के साथ 16 जून 2017 को येरवडा केंद्रीय कारागार का दौरा किया। इस दौरे का उद्देश्य था वहाँ स्थापितपुस्तकालय की समीक्षा करना तथा वहाँ की किताबों की जानकारी तथा पुस्तकालय संबंधी अन्य डाटा को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए एक कम्प्यूटर देना।

• सेंट जोसेफ कॉलेज ऑफ आर्ट्स एण्ड कॉमर्स के विद्यार्थियों का दौरा14

  17 जून 2017 को सेंट जोसेफ कॉलेज ऑफ आर्ट्स एण्ड कॉमर्स के 23 विद्यार्थी तथा उनके दो शिक्षकों ने सभा की लाइब्रेरी का दौरा किया। यहाँ पर उनका स्वागत डॉ. रीता कुमार तथा पुस्तकालयके स्टाफ द्वारा किया गया। उन्होंने पुस्तकालय का दौरा किया तथा सभा के अधिकारियों के साथ विचार-विमर्श किया। राकेश कुमार त्रिपाठी ने सभा की गतिविधियों से परिचय करवाया।
